Rohit Chopra

I'm an experienced product leader - I love building stuff, like this blog, which previously was an Android + iOS + Web app for mental well-being.

I was born in Rajasthan, which is my native place and spent my formative schooling years in Ahmedabad. Post that, for my education, I first graduated from IIT Kharagpur (http://www.iitkgp.ac.in/) and then completed my MBA from IIM Indore (https://www.iimidr.ac.in/).

Work Experience

Previously, I led the diagnostics team at India's #1 health-tech startup to build India's most trusted clinical healthcare brand where my main focus was to find the sweet spot between delightful user experience, business growth and technological agility in order to enable 10X annual growth for the organization. ๐Ÿš€

I'm comfortable working with CXOs, designers and techies on a day-to-day basis and keeping everyone aligned towards achieving the key metrics desired - by creating and implementing a product roadmap. I also have a flair for good design and hands-on user research, which makes it a tad easier for me to deliver a great user experience (UX).

Earlier, as a certified Meditation and Yoga Teacher, I founded Zifcare (www.zifcare.com), a 100% self-funded, non-clinical, AI-powered SaaS tool for mental well-being. Being a solo Founder and leading my own (Technology + Content + Design) team has given me tremendous self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment. ๐Ÿ’–ย

We had 45,000+ email subscribers and 25,000+ app downloads, with a 4.8+ rating. We also managed to save a couple of lives that I know of and that was Zifcare's greatest accomplishment as a self-development and mental health startup.

Goalsย

My goal is to build a fully profitable, sustainable technology business that helps me live an incredible lifestyle and my team an amazing place to work at. It could be a SaaS business or something else, not really sure at this point in time.

Personally, I wish to be happy and a good human being - so that I can do something for my family, friends and humanity.

Hobbies

I am a fairly consistent practitioner of meditation and pranayam (breathing exercises). Iโ€™ve also been going to the gym since college days on and off.

The ultimate de-stress activity

Iโ€™m also, technically speaking, a certified yoga trainer from Lakulish University. Iโ€™d done their YTTC program right before my startup journey.

I love listening to music and have a bunch of playlists on my phone, which I listen to all the time. And I very much enjoy exploring cafes and clubs.
